    Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to import a vehicle to Brazil?

Standard transit from Shanghai to Porto de Santos is 28–35 days by RoRo vessel. Total timeline from order confirmation to delivery — including inspection, documentation, and Brazilian customs clearance — is typically 8–12 weeks. Expedited options are available for urgent shipments.

What is included in your Brazil import pricing?

Every quote includes factory vehicle price, pre-shipment inspection, export documentation, port handling in China, ocean freight, and cargo insurance. Brazilian import duties — Imposto de Importação (II), IPI, and ICMS — are calculated separately and disclosed in full before you commit.

Are vehicles inspected before shipping to Brazil?

Yes. Every vehicle undergoes a comprehensive pre-shipment inspection by a certified independent third-party inspector. You receive a 10–15 page report, 30+ photographs, and a video walkthrough confirming roadworthy condition before your vehicle is loaded for Brazil.

Do you handle Brazilian import documentation and customs?

We prepare all China-side export documentation required for your SISCOMEX import declaration, including the commercial invoice, bill of lading, certificate of origin, and INMETRO conformity files. We also recommend experienced despachantes aduaneiros at Porto de Santos and Paranaguá for final customs clearance.

Do you offer warranty coverage on imported vehicles?

Yes. All vehicles include a standard 12-month mechanical warranty covering major powertrain components. Extended warranties of 24 or 36 months are available. Claims are processed directly through Chinese Car in Brazil at sales@evsbrazil.com with a 48-hour response guarantee.
